Abstract

In August 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Kotamobagu City of 4.02 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 109.41.

Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in seven expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 10.19 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.75 percent; health group by 3.78 percent; transportation group by 1.98 percent; education group by 0.25 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.63 percent; and personal care and other services group by 6.39 percent. Meanwhile, four other groups experienced deflation, namely the clothing and footwear group by 0.92 percent; household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance group by 0.12 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.01 percent; and recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.20 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate of Kotamobagu City in August 2024 was 0.39 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Kotamobagu City in August 2024 was 1.31 percent.
