Kotamobagu City Inflation in February 2024

Abstract

In February 2024, Kotamobagu City saw year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 2.71 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.67.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in ten expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.35 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.18 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 2.59 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.45 percent; health group by 0.50 percent; transportation group by 0.85 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.87 percent; education group by 1.05 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.27 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.38 percent. Meanwhile, another group, namely the information, communication and financial services group, experienced deflation of 0.28 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Kotamobagu City in February 2024 was 0.49 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate for Kotamobagu City in February 2024 was 1.22 percent.
