Kotamobagu City Inflation in May 2024

Abstract

In May 2024, Kotamobagu City saw year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 3.60 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.54.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in nine expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 9.58 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.03 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.70 percent; health group at 0.96 percent; transportation group by 1.87 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.16 percent; education group by 1.05 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.33 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.90 percent. Meanwhile, two other groups experienced deflation, namely the supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance group at 0.11 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.30 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Kotamobagu City in May 2024 is 0.39 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Kotamobagu City in May 2024 is 0.51 percent.
